How many legends and artists have we lost in the past 10 years or a period of one decade? Countless. All of them have been associated with different phases of growth of Hindi cinema, and many of them belong to the golden era of 1950s-1970s who shaped Bollywood cinema. I may miss many in this list. Yet it’s my humble tribute and remembrance of all those artists who left us leaving behind voids never to fill again, because each represent a particular era and time, which is never to come back. The first name which comes to everyone’s mind is definitely the first superstar of Indian cinema, who redefined romance onscreen with his lovely screen presence, charisma and handsome personality – Rajesh Khanna. Before Rajesh Khanna stormed into Bollywood in the late 1960s with his romantic ada, the actor who remained the romantic face of Bollywood in the 1960s was none other than Shammi Kapoor. Junglee, Professor, Teesri Manzil, Janwar, Pagla Kahin Ka, Andaz, Tumse Acha Kaun Hai, Prince, Dil Tera Diwana or Brahmachari or other popular roles he played on screen with different shades, it was his romantic ada, along with dancing skills and lovely songs sung by Mohammed Rafi which stole our hearts.
