Beef Ularthu
Ingredients for Beef Ularthu:
- Beef – 1 kg
- Coriander powder – 5 big spoons
- Chilli powder – 3 big spoons
- Turmeric powder – 2 small spoons
- Coconut – 1
- Onion sliced – 3
- Tomato cut into small pieces – 2
- Green chillies – 10
- Garlic – 50 gm
- Ginger – 25 gm
- Meat masala – 2 small spoons
- Kashmiri chilli powder – 1 small spoon
- Coriander leaves – 10 gm
- Curry leaves – 2 stem
- Coconut oil – as needed
Method of preparation of Beef Ularthu:
- Wash beef well and make it small pieces.
- Add half amount of the three powders to beef, add sufficient water and cook it well. Keep aside.
- Extract first and second milk from coconut.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté onion and tomato. When it’s sautéed add garlic, green chillies and ginger (after crushing) and sauté again.
- Add remaining powders along with a glass of water and stir well. Boil it well.
- When it becomes a paste, add cooked meat along with second coconut milk.
- Cook till water evaporates completely and add first milk.
- Again, cook till full water content is absorbed and make it dry.
- Add curry leaves and put the flame off. Pour a little coconut oil as well.
