Corn and Sausage Tarts
Ingredients for Corn and Sausage Tarts:
1. Maida – 1.5 cups
Baking powder – ¼ small spoon
Sugar powdered – 1 big spoon
Butter – 100 gm
2. Cold water – 2 or 3 small spoons
For filling:
3. Butter – 1.5 big spoons
4. Onions chopped fine – ½ cup
5. Maida – 2 big spoons
6. Milk – 1 cup
7. Egg beaten – 1
8. Corn – 1 tin
Cheese grated – 1 cube
Sausage cut into small pieces and fried – 1 big spoon
Salt and pepper – As required
How to prepare Corn and Sausage Tarts?
1. Pre-heat oven in 1800 degree Celsius.
2. Mix ingredients no: 1 together, adding cold water to prepare the dough.
3. Keep the dough in refrigerator for 10 minutes.
4. Take it out, and spread small round shapes from it.
5. Place them in a tart tray, and make marks here and there using fork.
6. Bake in pre-heated oven for 10 minutes.
7. Reduce the oven temperature to 1500 degrees.
8. To prepare filling, heat butter and sauté onions.
9. Reduce the flame and add maida. Mix well.
10. Add milk, stir continuously and keep cooking till it thickens.
11. When it turns the consistency of sauce, add beaten egg and mix well.
12. Add ingredients no: 8, mix the contents well and put off the flame.
13. Fill it in the baked tarts and place them again in oven.
14. Bake your Corn and Sausage Tarts for 15 more minutes.
