Rose water for beauty

Softness and glow of skin similar to rose petals – is the dream of every girl. To fulfil this dream make rosewater a habit of your beauty routine. Rose water is the best natural toner, and you can use it to avoid the use of chemicals. Clean the face first and then apply rosewater on your face. It helps to close the pores and rejuvenate skin cells. Using rose petals available in your garden, you can make rose water at home. You can read one more preparation of rose water here.

Rose water to keep skin young

Pluck two or three pink coloured rose (Panineer Poovu) from your garden. Pour 1.5 cups of water in a bowl. Separate petals from flowers and add one cup of them to water. Heat the contents in low flame for 15-30 minutes till colour of petals start changing. Close it with a lid, and allow the contents to cool. Filter it and store in glass containers. Rose water stays fresh for 1 week. If you keep it in refrigerator it won’t damage for 1 month.

Some beauty tips with rose water

1. You can use rosewater as cleanser, and also after using face mask. Wash your face and take a big spoon of rosewater. Apply it on your face and neck, and wash it off after 10 minutes.

2. Take 2 big spoons of chilled rosewater. Dip a piece of cotton in it and place beneath both eyes. It reduces tiredness of eyes and gives extra refreshment.

3. Take 2 big spoons of rosewater along with equal quantity of almond oil. Apply this mixture throughout your body and allow it for rest for 20 minutes. After that you can take a bath. It adds softness to your skin.

4. Take one big spoon of gram flour and add equal amounts of orange juice and rose water. Mix all the ingredients together to form a fine paste, and apply on your face and neck. Wash it off after 15 minutes. You will get a beautiful skin.
