Milana Nagaraj – Kannada film actress who played lead role in rom-com ‘Love Mocktail’

Milana Nagaraj is a south Indian film actress, who works in Kannada film industry. She has also played lead role in one Malayalam movie, Avarude Raavukal released in 2017. Milana plays lead and parallel roles on screen, and till now has appeared in 7 movies till 2020. She played the lead role of Krishna’s wife Nidhi in 2020 Kannada rom-com ‘Love Mocktail’, and received favourable reviews for her performance. The movie also marked her debut as a film producer, and the movie turned to be a successful venture. She reprised her role in its sequel too. Charlie, Matte Udbhava, Nam Duniya Nam Style, Brindavana and Jani are her other Kannada releases.

Milana is a state level swimmer

Milana Nagaraj hails from Hassan, Karnataka, and was born in 1989. She celebrates her birthday on 25^th April. During her school days she was an athlete and state level swimmer. Later she started her career through modelling and entered films. She was not at all interested in office job and wanted to do something different. She participated in “Miss Karnataka” beauty pageant as suggested by friends and received the subtitle “Miss Best Personality”. She started getting from Kannada movies after that.

She joined film industry in 2013

Her first movie was Nam Duniya Nam Style in 2013, where she played the supporting role of Milana. She played parallel lead aside Darshan and Karthika Nair in her second release, Brindavana. Her performance in first two films got noticed. But things were not smooth after that. Unfortunately her career didn’t take off as expected. After a short break, she started getting more offers.

She shared screen space with Krishna for the second time in Charlie, and third time in Love Mocktail. Meanwhile she marked her debut in Malayalam film, Avarude Raavukal. Love Mocktail is the most memorable role of Milana Nagaraj till now. She played the female lead, which had a bunch of female actresses. Her role as Krishna’s simple wife who dies in cancer was loved by audience. She has signed her first horror thriller project ‘O’ aside Amrutha Iyengar, and is to mark her Tamil debut soon.

1. Her nickname is Meghna.

2. She shared screen space with actor Darling Krishna in many movies, right from debut film, Nam Duniya Nam Style, followed by Charlie and Love Mocktail. Latter marked the directorial debut of Krishna, and the film was produced by Milana and Krishna together.

3. She shared screen space with Amrutha Iyengar in rom-com Love Mocktail and horror thriller titled ‘O’.

4. During her childhood days she wanted to become a national level swimmer. As a state level swimmer, she has won many medals.

5. She started her swimming classes at the age of 4 or 5, and things changed while she was studying in class 12. An accident changed her life forever, she had a leg fracture and she was forced to take a break from swimming.

6. She completed engineering in computer science.

7. She loves playing tennis, watching movies and travelling.

8. In year 2020 soon after the release of Love Mocktail, the lead pair Darling Krishna and Milana announced that they are a couple and have been together for more than 5 years. The couple disclosed their relationship status during the second week of release of the movie, which was already running successfully at theaters.
