Trupti Bhoir – Marathi film and television actress of ‘Agadbam’ fame

Trupti Bhoir is an Indian actress and producer who is a part of Marathi film and television industry. She is best known for the lead role of Najuka in movie Agadbam, produced by the actress. She played an over-weighted woman in the film released in 2010, and her role was well received. She produced Marathi movies such as Touring Talkies, Hello Jai Hind, Tujhya Majhya Sansarala Aani Kaay Hav etc.

Trupti Bhoir was born in Mumbai in 1980. She is a trained classical dancer and theater artist who later joined film and television industry. ‘Sahi Re Sahi‘ was her first stage play. She is known for experimenting different kinds of roles and some of her Marathi films include – Ishya, Ovalte Bhauraya, Tujhya Majhya Sansarala, Paulkhuna etc.

Trupti Bhoir – Some interesting and less-known facts

1. During her college days, Trupti has won state-level awards for best acting.

2. She has been a professional theater artist before joining films and television.

3. She played a 250-kg obese bride Najuka in Agadbam.

4. Her film Agadbam won two World Guinness records – First one is for shooting the film in 17 days with entire body make-up. The second record is for shooting a song with make-up put on for 26 hours.

5. She played a woman who defies tradition and runs a touring talkies in the film Touring Talkies. As she adapted a male-oriented role, she learnt their body language and mannerism, truck driving etc.

6. Her production venture Touring Talkies was shortlisted for Oscars.
