Nakul Kapur – Actor and Model of ‘Ho Gaya Hai Mohabbat’ fame

Nakul Kapur was a very popular model of 1990s, who shot to instant fame after he appeared in the music video, ‘Ho Gaya Hai Mohabbat’ aside Shibani Kashyap. His lovely face, chocolate looks and beautiful hair made him the heartthrob of the nation very soon. The immense popularity he got through the Indipop video helped him to bag the first Bollywood project, Tum Se Achcha Kaun Hai. He played lead role in the romantic movie, but it flopped. Nakul couldn’t sustain his popularity and he faded very soon. He disappeared for many years till he was spotted from Canada a few years back.

Nakul Kapur started his career as a model in the 1990s. His single music video, ‘Ho Gaya Hai Mohabbat’ in which he tries to impress Shibani Kashyap acting as blind became a rage in 1998 and he rose to celebrity status very soon. He also appeared in several modelling assignments, and was immensely popular among young girls. In 2002 he marked his acting debut with Tum Se Achcha Kaun Hai, opposite Aarti Chhabria and Kim Sharma. Though the movie had some of the popular songs of the year such as Aankh Hai Bhari Bhari and Title track, it couldn’t help the movie from sinking.

Later film and modelling offers started drying, and he quit the entertainment industry. Though he received a few acting roles, he decided to opt his true passion – Yoga. For many years nobody knew where he was. He completely stayed away from media and limelight. There were speculations and rumours that this handsome hunk is no more. His death rumours also sparked in the media, but later he dismissed the reports. The actor is currently settled in Canada, and has no plans to return to India. He runs a Divine Light yoga centre in North Vancouver right now.
