Chocolate Cream Flan

Ingredients for Chocolate Cream Flan:

For Pastry:

1. Maida – 300 gm

2. Butter – 75 gm, sliced

3. Sugar powdered – 2 big spoons

4. Yellow yolk – 1, blended with one big spoon of cold water

For Filling:

5. Plain chocolate – 100 gm, cut into pieces

    Butter – 100 gm

6. Sugar powdered – 100-150 gm

   Maida blended – 50 gm

   Egg – 3

For Topping:

7. Whipped thick cream – ½-3/4 cup

8. Almond flakes/toasted cashews – As needed

How to prepare Chocolate Cream Flan?

1. Pre-heat oven in 200 degree celsious.

2. Take maida in a bowl and add butter pieces.

3. Using hands mix the contents till it resembles bread crumbs.

4. Add sugar and mix well, followed by yellow yolk.

5. Slowly mix the contents to prepare the dough.

6. Cover the bowl using cling film and refrigerate for half an hour.

7. Sprinkle flour on a tray and spread this pastry on its top.

8. Transfer this pastry to a tart tray of 10 inch size.

9. Put a foil paper on its top and spread green gram on its top.

10. Place the pastry in pre-heated oven and bake for 20 minutes.

11. Take it out and allow to cool for 15 minutes.

12. Remove foil paper and green gram and bake the cake for 5 more minutes.

13. Pre-heat oven in 180 degree celsious.

14. Heat chocolate and butter in a bowl using double boiling method till chocolate should melt completely.

15. Blend together ingredients no: 6 and add to melted chocolate.

16. Fill this mixture in baked tart shells and bake for 20 minutes at 180 degree celsious.

17. When it cools, place it on the top of the cake in desired styles.

18. Pipe whipped cream on its top and decorate using almonds or cashews.
