Grace Antony – Malayalam actress of ‘Kumbalangi Nights’ fame

Grace Antony is an upcoming actress of Malayalam film industry, who shot to fame with a single dialogue from the film, Kumbalangi Nights released in 2019. The film was a major success and Grace’s single dialogue delivered to Shammi (played onscreen by Fahadh Faasil) in the climax of the film too was an instant hit, and played an important part in film’s script. She played the memorable role of Simmy, Fahadh Faasil’s wife in the movie. Grace was earlier seen in the hit film, Happy Wedding.

Since young she used to act before mirror. It remains one of her best passions. But she never imagined that she would work in films later, as she doesn’t have any connection with cine world. While doing second year graduation (specializing in Bharatnatyam) she heard about audition of Happy Wedding. Seeing her passion, her parents approved her decision, and thus she got her first film role. She was later seen playing brief roles in Georgettante Pooram and Kamboji before she bagged her best role through Kumbalangi Nights. After the film’s success she has been offered a meaty role for a movie starring Vinay Forrt in lead role.

1. She was featured in a ragging scene with song ‘Ratri Subharatri…..’ for the debut flick, Happy Wedding. This scene helped her to bag the memorable role of Simmy in Kumbalangi Nights.

2. When her debut film got released, though she went to theatre with dear ones, she was not confidant enough to watch herself onscreen. She closed her eyes when she appeared on screen.

3. She feels that her mother has slight shades of Simmy, the character she played in Kumbalangi Nights.

4. Her father Antony is a contractor. She has one elder sister.
