Aneesh Ravi – The village officer of Malayalam TV series ‘Karyam Nissaram’

Aneesh Ravi is a star anchor of Malayalam small screen. He is also a popular actor and theatre artist. He has been a part of several Malayalam soaps of which his lead roles as village officer Mohanakrishnan of Karyam Nissaram and Kanakan of Aliyan VS Aliyan earned him a lot of appreciation. He also plays supporting roles on Malayalam big screen. Yet he is best known as a television personality. As an amateur stage artist, he acted in plays such as Soothaputran, Over bridge, Ravanaprabhu etc.

Aneesh was initially an amateur theatre artist and mimicry performer before he forayed to television. In 1994 he won first prize in mimicry at Kerala University Youth Festival. Later he started his career as an amateur stage actor through Raghu’s Natakayogam. ‘Snehatheeram’ aired on Doordarshan was his first TV show, and he has also appeared in Tamil soaps. Later he turned a successful TV anchor and host associated with cookery shows, reality shows, game shows and talk shows. In 2016 he moved to production field, and Moonu Pennungal is his first show under the banner Varadayini creations.

1. He shares amazing screen chemistry with anchor Anu Joseph, and they together have hosted many successful TV shows such as Star War.

2. He holds a diploma in media and journalism apart from MA in Malayalam literature.

3. In 2005 he received Kerala State Television Awards for best actor for Sreenarayana Guru.
