Beef Koottucurry
Ingredients for Beef Koottucurry:
1. Beef minced – ¼ kg
2. Ginger chopped fine – ½ small spoon
Garlic chopped fine – ½ small spoon
Shallots chopped – ½ small spoon
Green chillies chopped fine – 1
Pepper powder – ½ small spoon
Salt – For taste
3. Egg – 1
4. Coconut oil – As required
5. Mustard – ½ small spoon
6. Curry leaves – As required
7. Onion – 1, chopped fine
8. Ginger-garlic paste – ½ small spoon
9. Turmeric powder – 1/4 small spoon
Chilli powder – 1 small spoon
Coriander powder – 2 small spoons
Garam masala powder – 1/2 small spoon
Salt – As needed
10. Potatoes – 2, cut into square pieces
11. Coconut milk – 1 cup
How to prepare Beef Koottucurry?
1. Take minced beef in a bowl and add ingredients no: 2. Mix the contents well.
2. Add an egg and mix again using your hands.
3. Make small balls and spread to cutlet shapes.
4. You can also add a little bread crumbs if you feel difficult to make balls.
5. Heat oil in a pan, and deep fry each cutlet.
6. In another pan, heat 2 big spoons of oil.
7. Add mustard and curry leaves, and then sauté onions.
8. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté again, followed by ingredients no: 9.
9. Add potatoes and half cup water, and cook the contents with closed lid.
10. When potato pieces are well cooked and water content is well absorbed, add thick coconut milk.
11. Stir it well and allow the gravy to thicken.
12. Add minced meat cutlets and mix well.
13. Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve.
