Ingredients for Chakka Pazham Pudding (Jackfruit Pudding):

1. Rice powder – ½ cup

    Jackfruit chopped into very fine pieces – ½ cup

    Jaggery scrapped – ½ cup

    Milk – To prepare the batter

2. Jackfruit cooked and chopped – 1 big spoon

    Coconut milk cream – 1 big spoon

3. Jaggery melted adding water – For decoration

Method of preparation of Chakka Pazham Pudding (Jackfruit Pudding):

1. Mix all ingredients listed as 1 by adding sufficient milk to prepare the batter, and the batter should be similar to idli’s.

2. Spread it in a flat plate and steam cook for 20 minutes.

3. Once cooled, transfer it to the serving plate.

4. Mix cooked jackfruit pieces with coconut milk cream and spread on the top of the pudding.

5. Now pour jaggery solution on its top in thread like structures to decorate the way you want.

6. Cut into pieces and serve.

How to prepare Coconut milk cream – Extract first milk from coconut and place it in refrigerator for 2 hours. Now cream will appear as a layer on the top of coconut milk, and you can extract it using a spoon.

Ingredients for Jackfruit Pudding (Chakka Pudding) – Recipe 2:

1. Well ripen jackfruit cloves – 30

2. Milk – 1.5 litres

3. Jackfruit chopped and slightly fried in honey (Vilayichath) – 10 cloves

4. Milkmaid – 1 tin

5. Honey – 1 tablespoon

6. Sugar – ¼ cup

7. China grass – 10 gm

How to prepare Jackfruit Pudding (Chakka Pudding) – Recipe 2?

1. Add ¼ cup milk to jackfruit and make a fine paste in a mixer.

2. Take 1 cup water in a pan and add chopped china grass.

3. Allow it to soak for 15 minutes.

4. Heat milk in another pan.

5. Just before milk starts to boil, add milkmaid.

6. Keep stirring to avoid sticking to bottom.

7. Melt china grass in low flame and add to milk.

8. Mix the contents well and add to jackfruit paste.

9. Also add sugar.

10. Decorate with jackfruit pieces fried in honey.
