Vattalappam

Ingredients for Vattalappam:

1. Eggs -5

2. Cloves – 3

    Cardamom – 8

    Cinnamon – ¾ inch piece

3. Jaggery – ¼ kg

4. Coconut milk – ½ cup

5. Vanilla essence – 1.5 small spoons

How to prepare Vattalappam?

1. Powder ingredients no: 2.

2. Add ¾ cups of water to jaggery and melt it by boiling. Allow it to cool.

3. Beat the eggs well and add ingredients no: 2 to it.

4. Filter jaggery juice and add to the above mixture. Mix the contents well.

5. Add coconut milk little by little and beat again.

6. Filter the contents to another vessel, add essence and place in a steam cooker.

7. Cook in steam for next 1 hour.

8. You can also cook it in pressure cooker.
