Irumban Puli Thoran (Bilimbi Thoran)

Ingredients for Irumban Puli Thoran (Bilimbi Thoran):

1. Tender Bilimbi split lengthwise into 4 parts – 1 cup

2. Coconut scrapped – 1.5 cups

    Chilli powder – 1 big spoon

    Shallots chopped lengthwise – ¼ cup

    Curry leaves chopped – 1 big spoon

    Salt – As required

3. Coconut oil – 1 big spoon

4. Mustard – ½ small spoon

    Red chillies – 2, cut into pieces

    Curry leaves – 2 stalks

How to prepare Irumban Puli Thoran (Bilimbi Thoran)?

Mix bilimbi with ingredients no: 2.

Heat oil in a pan and sputter mustards.

Add red chillies and curry leaves.

Add bilimbi mixture and cook in low flame for 5 minutes with lid closed.

Open the lid and stir for a while till water content is fully absorbed.
