Almond Kheer (Badam Kheer)

Ingredients for Almond Kheer (Badam Kheer):

1. Almond – ½ cup

2. Cream milk – 1 litre

3. Saffron – 15

4. Cardamom powder – ½ tsp

5. Sugar – ½ cup

6. Almonds, pista broken – 1 table spoon

How to prepare Almond Kheer (Badam Kheer)?

1. Soak almonds in water for 5 or 6 hours.

2. Later remove the skin and make a fine paste.

3. If needed, you can add a little milk while grinding.

4. Heat milk in a pan, and add saffron.

5. Boil the contents well.

6. Continue cooking till milk content reduces to half.

7. Stir occasionally.

8. Later add almond paste, and continue cooking till payasam turns thick.

9. Add cardamom powder and sugar.

10. Boil the payasam in low flame for 5-8 minutes.

11. Decorate your almond payasam with pista and almonds.
