Top space saving tips for your home

What is space saving? It is nothing, but fully utilizing each and every corner of your home wisely and arranging things according to our needs thus saving a lot of space. A little imagination and artistic mind, from the time of planning itself can help you to save a lot of space free of cost. Instead of constructing a big home with a lot of space, it’s a better idea to build a small home and arrange things in a wise manner so that full space is utilized nicely. Choose furniture most suited for your home. Avoid extra walls and decorative pillars to make your interior more spacious. In addition to these tips, let me provide some more easy ones to save your interior space.  

Around your staircase

Why can’t you make a small level variation in the lowest two steps, so that it can be used as a working space or a small library? Designing storage spaces beneath your staircase is also a better idea. Using your creative mind, it’s possible to make it a small sitting area also, with a few chairs. If your staircase is designed in between living area and dining as a partition, place crockery shelf and a television or music system on either sides so that maximum space is well utilized.

Space saving techniques in your bedroom

Bedroom door should never be placed in the middle of a wall as it takes a lot of space. A corner is the best place to fit doors. Big beds can be used for storage purposes also. For example, bunk beds for kids. You can provide numerous shelves beneath your bed. Corridor constructions leading towards your bedroom takes a lot of space without any reason. While making dressing table for your bedroom, fix inbuilt seats that can be pulled out when only needed. If your bedroom is small, use one side-table only and it can be provided with a few drawers. Never place big beds in small bedrooms.

Hidden spaces of kitchen

If countertops are extended a little more, it can be used as a dining space or breakfast area. Now breakfast tables are available that can be folded after use. Place it at any corner of your kitchen so that it won’t disturb your work or take extra space. Arrange things in your kitchen in the order – refrigerator, sink, grinding and cutting instruments, hob and last, cooking and serving pots and vessels. If wooden trays are fitted beneath countertops that can be pulled out, it can be used as a study table for kids.

Space saving in your bathroom

Using glass shelves in walls instead of shelves on ground can save a lot of space. Shelves behind mirror can be used to keep shampoo and lotions. If hooks are placed inside bathroom, you can hang your wet clothes easily.
