Meet the arrogant hockey team manager in Akshay Kumar starrer Gold – Atul Kale

Atul Kale is an actor, singer, musician and director associated with Indian entertainment industry. He plays supporting roles in Bollywood films. Most recently he was seen in a grey shaded role of Mr. Mehta, hockey team manager in Akshay Kumar starrer Gold released in 2018. His role was well-appreciated. He is a very talented singer and musician who has won many awards in this section. He has also done playback singing in Hindi and Marathi movies. He is regular with his acting roles, and has appeared in Marathi and Hindi TV shows – Ghar Jamai, Mrs. Mathur, Main with Shekhar Suman, Vedh, Sherlock Bond, Sincenati Babla Boo and C.I.D to name a few. He has done many prominent roles in Mahesh Manjrekar movies too.

Atul Kale hails from Girgaon, Mumbai. He was introduced to experimental theatre during his college days and got attracted to it. He has acted in several Marathi and English plays, and has own awards for his portrayal in the very successful play, Planchet. He worked with Oriental Insurance upon his father’s death, which put a break to his acting career. However his singing career began while working with this financial firm. He began his professional singing career and he appeared in one English play, ‘All the Best’ very soon.

 

He was given the first break in Hindi films by Mahesh Manjrekar, with whom he has worked for films such as Vastav, Ehsaas, Hatyar, Virrudh, Tera Mera Saath Rahe, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Life Ho to Aisi and Pran Jaye Par Shaan Na jaye. He also worked with the director as an assistant for a few of the above movies. In fact the director has given him opportunity to do playback singing in many of his movies such as Vastav, Jis Desh main Ganga Rehta Hai, Tera Mera Saath Rahe, Astitva etc.
