Shaheer Sheikh – Lawyer turned actor and model

Shaheer Sheikh is a very popular actor of Hindi small screen, and he is a successful model too. He has been a lawyer by profession before he forayed into acting. He has also starred in a few Indonesian films, apart from hosting Indonesian show, Panah Asmara Arjuna, Asia’s Got Talent etc. As an actor he is equally popular in Indonesia.

As a lead actor, his role in Kya Mast Hai Life was well appreciated and bagged him a few awards too. Kya Mast Hai Life, Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, Navya..Naye Dhadkan Naye Sawaal, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, Jhansi Ki Rani and Mahabharat are a few more popular roles he played on Hindi small screen.

Shaheer Sheikh was born in Jammu and Kashmir in 1984. Bhaderwah of Jammu is his hometown. He completed his LLB course from Pune and an event management company. His mother has always encouraged him in his professional career and stood as his pillar behind him. Sheikh started his career as a photographer and model. But later he gained recognition as an actor. Kya Mast Hai Life (2009) was his first television show, and since then he has appeared in around 2 dozen shows, making it one of the most sought actors.

1. His full name is Sheikh Shaheer Nawaz.

2. He is the only Indian to be chosen to participate in the Torch Relay in 2018 Asian Games.

3. He won Star of the Year at Asiavision Awards 2016 for the show, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi.

4. His roles in the shows – Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali, Mahabharat and Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi have won him nominations for best actor at different award functions, though he is yet to get one.

5. As a model he was featured in the music videos – “Teri Palkey” from A. M. Turaz’s Ek Ladki Shabnami Jaisi and Sau Fikr of Bishwajit Ghosh.
