B. Ajaneesh Loknath- Kannada music composer of Ulidavaru Kandante fame

B. Ajaneesh Loknath, the popular Kannada music composer, singer and background scorer has also done a few Telugu and Tamil projects. He composed the melodious music and background score of Rakshit Shetty’s Ulidavaru Kandante in 2014, after which he joined the league of successful young composers of Sandalwood. Known for taking Sandalwood music to the next level, Gatiya Ilidu song which he sang aside Vijay Prakash was an instant chartbuster. Almost all tracks of the album got noticed. He joined Kannada film industry in 2009 through the film Shishira and has completed one decade in the industry. Yet it took many years to get the real break he was waiting for.

A native of Bhadravathi, Ajaneesh was born in 1986. The director Manju Swaraj gave him the first break to music composition through ‘Shishira’ in 2009. He later scored music for Cinema My Darling, Varshadhare, Akka Pakka, Nam Areal Ondina, Nan Life Alli, Sipaayi etc and background score for Vascodigama, Rangitarang etc. Currently he is one of the most sought music composers of the industry because of his uniqueness in tunes. Gatiya Ilidu and Kanna Muche from Ulidavaru Kandante, Hey Who are You and Belegeddu from Kirik Party etc are among his top songs.

B. Ajaneesh Loknath – Some interesting facts

1. Some of his popular songs from Ulidavaru Kandanthe were penned by Rakshit Shetty, who scripted and directed this hit film, and also played the lead role. Ulidavaru Kandanthe earned numerous awards and nominations at different music awards.

2. He received Filmfare Awards South for the best music director in Kannada for Ulidavaru Kandanthe.

3. After composing the songs of Ulidavaru Kandanthe and Kirik Party, he also composed music for the remakes of these two films in other south languages.

4. His music score and background score for the movie, Rangi Taranga was well appreciated by critics. The movie was shortlisted by Oscars in 2015.

5. He composed two songs for Priyadarshan’s Tamil film, Nimir in 2018.
