Date & Walnut Cake

Ingredients for Date & Walnut Cake:

1. Dates after removing seeds – 300 gm

2. Hot water – 200 milli

    Soda bi-carbonate – 1 small spoon, in the spoon level (not as heap)

3. Maida – 225 gm

    Baking powder – ¾ small spoon

4. Butter – 170 gm

    Sugar powdered – 225 gm

5. Eggs – 4

6. Vanilla essence – 2 small spoons

7. Walnut – 115 gms

How to prepare Date & Walnut Cake?

1. Preheat oven in 150 degree celsious.

2. Mix chopped dates with ingredients no: 2 and allow it to rest for 1 hour.

3. Mix together ingredients no: 3.

4. Beat sugar and butter together, and add eggs one by one. Beat well each time before adding next egg.

5. Add vanilla essence and stir the contents well.

6. Add walnuts to soaked dates.

7. Now add maida mixture and dates mixture to butter-egg mixture in alternate fashion.

8. Transfer the contents to a tin (after placing paper) and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour in a pre-heated oven.
