Ingredients for Maanga Uppilittath for Kozhikode Sadya (Salted Mango for Sadya):

1. Green mango cut into very small pieces – 1 cup

2. Salt – As required

    Red chilli powder – 2 big spoons

3. Asafoetida fried and powdered – 1 small spoon

    Fenugreek fried and powdered – 1 small spoon

   Mustard and cumin seeds powdered together – ½ small spoon

4. Coconut oil – 2 big spoons

5. Mustard – 1 small spoon

6. Red chillies – 2

    Curry leaves – 1 stalk

How to prepare Maanga Uppilittath for Kozhikode Sadya (Salted Mango for Sadya)?

1. Add salt and chilli powder to mango, mix well and keep it aside for half an hour.

2. Add ingredients no: 3 to it and mix the ingredients well.

3. Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds and sauté red chillies and curry leaves.

4. Add this mixture to mango and mix well.
