Ilacurry – Chemmeen Soup

 Ingredients for Ilacurry – Chemmeen Soup:

  1. Prawns cut into pieces – 30 gm
  2. Coconut oil – 1 small spoon
  3. Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
  4. Curry leaves chopped – 2 stem
  5. Garlic chopped – ¼ tsp
  6. Green spinach (Pacha cheera) chopped – 10 gm
  7. Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
  8. Rice powder – 1 tsp
  9. Tomato chopped – 1 tsp
  10. Salt – as per taste
  11. Lemon juice – ¼ tsp
  12. Coconut milk – 200 milli
  13. Hot water – 200 milli

How to prepare Ilacurry-Chemmeen soup?

  1. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
  2. Sauté garlic and curry leaves.
  3. Add spinach and prawns to it and sate again.
  4. Add turmeric powder, rice powder and tomato. Stir well and boil for a few more minutes.
  5. When it’s cooked, add salt and hot water and boil well.
  6. Add coconut milk and just heat it and put flame off.
